Research to drive change for improved mental health in construction

Working closely with construction workers and industry leaders, we research work-related risk factors responsible for poor mental health and high suicides in the construction industry.

We are using these findings to inform the co-production of preventative, secondary and tertiary interventions.

We also evaluate the effectiveness and return-on-investment of novel co-produced interventions.

What we do

Three people wearing safety construction clothes stood within a warehouse and one person wearing a smart suit with safety helment staning smiling to each other. Two people are shaking hands.

This partnership brings together people united by a shared vision: better mental health for construction workers across England.

Our network includes:

  • Leaders from commercial and public sector clients

  • Senior voices from Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors

  • Representatives from trade and membership bodies

  • Representatives from SME and micro construction firms

  • Leaders from mental health charities

  • Construction workers themselves
